Stuck in endless Android boot loop? Don't panic! Our emergency fixes work for Samsung Galaxy, Google Pixel, OnePlus and all Android devices.
What you'll learn:
- Android boot loop fix
- Samsung boot loop recovery
- Google Pixel boot loop
- OnePlus stuck booting
- Android recovery mode
- Emergency boot loop fixes
🚨 30-Second Emergency Fix
- 1While the phone is restarting, hold Power + Volume Down for 15 seconds
- 2Use Volume buttons to navigate to Wipe Cache Partition
- 3Press Power to select and confirm
- 4Select Restart System Now when complete — this preserves all your data
Method 1: Access Recovery Mode (Brand-Specific)
Recovery mode is accessed differently on each brand. You must power off the phone completely first — if it keeps restarting, hold the button combination during a restart.
Samsung Galaxy:
- 1Hold Volume Up + Power simultaneously (older models: Volume Up + Home + Power)
- 2Release when the Samsung logo appears and you feel a vibration
- 3Wait for the Recovery Mode menu to appear (blue text on black background)
Google Pixel:
- 1Hold Volume Down + Power simultaneously
- 2Use Volume Down to highlight Recovery Mode, then press Power
- 3When you see the "No command" screen, hold Power and quickly tap Volume Up once
OnePlus:
- 1Hold Volume Down + Power simultaneously
- 2Select your language, then choose Recovery Mode
Method 2: Wipe Cache Partition from Recovery
This clears temporary system files without deleting any personal data. It's the safest first step for fixing boot loops.
- 1Enter Recovery Mode using the brand-specific method above
- 2Use Volume Down to navigate to Wipe Cache Partition
- 3Press Power to select it
- 4Confirm by selecting Yes
- 5Wait for the process to finish (usually 30-60 seconds)
- 6Select Reboot System Now — the first boot may take 5-10 minutes
Method 3: Boot into Safe Mode
Safe Mode disables all third-party apps. If the phone boots successfully in Safe Mode, a recently installed app is causing the boot loop.
- 1During a restart, as the manufacturer logo appears, press and hold Volume Down
- 2Keep holding Volume Down until the phone fully boots
- 3You should see "Safe Mode" in the bottom-left corner of the screen
- 4Go to Settings > Apps and uninstall recently installed or updated apps
- 5Restart normally to test if the boot loop is resolved
Method 4: Factory Reset from Recovery (Last Resort)
- 1Enter Recovery Mode using the brand-specific method above
- 2Navigate to Wipe Data/Factory Reset using Volume buttons
- 3Press Power to select, then confirm by selecting Yes
- 4Wait for the reset to complete (5-10 minutes)
- 5Select Reboot System Now
- 6Set up the phone as a new device — you'll need your Google account credentials
Samsung users: If the boot loop persists even after factory reset, Samsung's Odin tool can re-flash the firmware via USB from a PC. This requires downloading the correct firmware from sammobile.com.
Pixel users: Google provides a Rescue Mode via USB at flash.android.com that can re-install the operating system completely.
Why Boot Loops Happen
- • Failed software update — the most common cause. If the phone loses power or the update is interrupted, system files can become corrupted.
- • Corrupted app — a third-party app with system-level permissions (launcher, keyboard, accessibility service) can prevent the OS from starting.
- • Full storage — when internal storage is 100% full, Android cannot create the temporary files needed to boot. This is especially common on 32GB devices.
- • Failed root or custom ROM — modifying the system partition incorrectly often causes unrecoverable boot loops.
- • Hardware failure — rarely, a failing eMMC storage chip or corrupted NAND can cause boot loops that no software fix can resolve.
🛡️ Prevention Tips
- ✓Keep at least 20% of storage free at all times
- ✓Always ensure your phone is charged above 50% before installing system updates
- ✓Back up your data regularly to Google Drive or a computer
- ✓Don't install apps from unknown sources unless you know what you're doing
- ✓Avoid rooting or installing custom ROMs unless you're experienced
- ✓Install updates one at a time and restart between each
When to Seek Professional Help
📞 Visit a Repair Centre If:

- •Phone shows hardware error codes during boot
- •Boot loop started after the phone was dropped or exposed to water
- •Phone is under warranty — don't attempt advanced recovery as it may void warranty
